Most everyone has seen a traveler whose goal is to visit all 50 states of the United States. Otto goes just one step further and shoots a little higher than that.

Otto wants to visit the oldest active cache in each state. The list of these caches can be found by visiting the link to the bookmark list Oldest UnArchived Cache in the State by baloo&bd at http://www.geocaching.com/bookmarks/view.aspx?guid=8b3ba6ac-ec71-4921-91fa-344e3bb5ca0f.

Even if you will not be near or do not plan to visit one of these long-standing caches, perhaps you can lend a hand by moving this traveler to a state that he has not seen its oldest active cache. Besides, it has to get to that state first before it can find its oldest.

    Otto and I will travel a bit before I drop him off, still within the boundaries of Michigan. Someday I hope to get out to Power Island and find the oldest active cache in the state, but for now it is not in the cards. I hope someone else can get Otto there.
