Current Goal

To visit as many "Western" places as possible. It could be a rodeo, a parade with horses, a chili cook-off, a western museum, etc... anything that has any western theme at all!

About This Item

I am very small, so I will fit in most caches. I am named after Gene Autry's horse, "Champion", and will be starting my journey in a cache from Tioga, Texas.... this is the scene of the official "Gene Autry Days" each year. I don't eat much, love to have my picture made and hope to make it home to the Tioga area by January 2007.

    Champion galloped to my little truck, wanting to return to Fort madison, home of Iowa's best rodeo! will feed him himfor about a week and then he'll be ready to head to northern Iowa. OH the pastures will have many colts for Champion to see!

    Reined in Champion from the Gold Star Cache and will ride him back East. We are full time RVers and are headed to the Midwest. Will get Champion as close as we can to the Fort Madison, IA Rodeo Grounds. This is where Gene Autry and Champion performed for several years back in the 50's and 60's.
