Current Goal

This cross was given to my daughter by a homeless person here in Austin, TX when she gave him some money for food. She would like to see this TB travel around the world to all the places he will likely never be able to see.

The goal is to make it back to Austin, TX from various parts of the world to bring those travel memories back here to him.

About This Item

This travel bug is one of many which was transported from Austin, Texas to somewhere in Australia as part of the Down Under Travel Bug Race (GCPM5F). This transportation was done by the team of dirich92. It seeks to get back to Austin, Texas before any of the other bugs listed as racers in the race.

The final goal for this Travel Bug is to make it to GCPY7R before the rest of the Travel Bugs in the race. Please do what you can to help move this Travel Bug along. The side race is to log as many miles before the end of the year, so feel free to pick this one up and move it somewhere quickly along it's journey.

WooHoo! Thanks to all that have moved this travel bug around. It is back home and will show it to my daughter soon. I'll have her pick a new exciting mission for it and get it back out there again.

Very pretty cross and great story. Can get it as far as Georgetown, just outside of Austin. Heads up to the owner - I'll be putting it in Baby Haole's First Cache in San Gabriel Park soon.

I found this TB with 27 children from my childcare center.
It was a wonderful TB to find, being that we are a Christian based center. I found Hayla's Homeless Cross at Happy St. Patricks Day. It was not at Bad Kong at the time we took possition of it.

I just started geocaching, about a week ago and love it.
I am hoping it will become something my wife and son will enjoy as well.

I had to cancel my TX trip in Oct, where I was hoping to get this TB much closer to Austin, so made sure the one who picked it up at this meeting would get it headed the right direction.
