**** MISSION CHANGE *** This trackable has been travelling since Sept 4, 2006. I would like to have it return to Victoria, British Columbia Canada so I can pick it up and put it into my collection.
Thanks to all of you who have helped it along the way.

I actually found this medal in a cache. There was no indication as to whom it belonged or who left it there. It was the first Peacekeeping Medal I’d ever seen so I went home and researched it. I thought a travel bug would be a good idea so others could learn about the role we Canadian’s play in peacekeeping around the world.
In 1988, the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to United Nations Peacekeepers in recognition of their collective efforts in the cause of peace for more than fifty years. This inspired the creation of the Canadian Peacekeeping Service Medal, the purpose of which is to recognize all Canadians, including serving and former members of the Canadian Forces, members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and other police services, and Canadian civilians who contributed to peace on specific missions.
