Hi Seth!
Found your TB in Brewster, NY and brought it home with me a little farther south to Tarrytown, NY. Tarrytown is right on the Hudson River about 28 miles north of New York City - right where the Tappan Zee Bridge crosses the river. It's here that Major Andre was captured during the Revolutionary War. As you might know, Andre had received the plans for West Point from the traitor, Benedict Arnold. Andre was trying to deliver the plans to the British when he was stopped and questioned by three American militiamen here in Tarrytown. Fotunately Arnold's act of treason was thwarted when they discovered the plans hidden in Andre's boot!
Also, the famous American writer, Washington Irving lived here. His home, Sunnyside, is at the southern end of Tarryown where Tarrytown borders the Village of Irvington. Our sister village, North Tarrytown (better known as Sleepy Hollow these days), is the actual setting of Irving's "Legend of Sleepy Hollow" (hence the town's name change). My sons attend Sleepy Hollow High School and Junior H.S. and the school's mascot is the Headless Horseman. Halloween is a big time of year here!
So I have your traveler here for now but stay tuned for where it's going next!
