Avdvl_TB_Wooden Shoes from Fryslân

This Travel Bug comes from the Netherlands. From the north part of the Netherlands to be exact. The county is called Friesland in Dutch and Fryslân in Frisian. Frisian is, besides Dutch of course , a formal language in the Netherlands not a dialect. Outside the county they hardly speak the language besides those who are connected to Fryslân one way or the other. Another misunderstanding is that we all walk on wooden shoes in the Netherlands. In the past this was absolutely true but nowadays wooden shoes are seldom. I have some as I work in the garden ;-). So this Travel Bug is a combination of Fryslân and wooden shoes. In the summer we will bring it to France in St Gervais Le Bain, near Chamonix, and will follow it's travels around the world. Please upload environmental pictures.
