Current Goal

By the time anyone finds this bug, it will have traveled around the earth a great many times!

Please take this bug to the NASA NEEMO Undersea Lab. Once it has been there, it needs to return home to me in Texas.

About This Item

This travel bug, launched with me aboard Soyuz TMA 13. Which was also the 100th Soyuz launch to date. It was with me for 10 days aboard the International Space Station but I left it behind in the Russian segment of the ISS, in locker #218.

Oh, you just missed the last shuttle back to earth. But I think, it is not necessary to came back by shuttle. Because it arrived by Soyuz. 😉

I´ve been watching nasa.tv all the time, but I did not see these TB. 😁

Will this little bit of history be returning on the final trip?

Sure would be nice if this bug was picked up by an STS-135 crew member, and brought back on the last-ever flight of the Shuttle Program. Then handed off to some one else to take back up, of course.

If anyone has access to any of the STS-135, or even any of the current ISS crew members, please speak to, or tweet them or whatever to see about getting this TB logged and moved.

Oh, to be able to log this as "Retrieve from International Space Station"... On April 28-29, 2011, I had the amazing opportunity to be invited to participate in the STS-134 NASA Tweetup event at Kennedy Space Center in conjunction with the scheduled launch of Endeavour for its final voyage. Along with about 150 other Tweeps, I had the opportunity to meet astronauts Clayton Anderson, Ricky Arnold, and Leland Melvin, as well as other notable NASA dignitaries. Unfortunately, the launch was scrubbed - postponed to a later date - making it impossible for me to attend the launch itself. That said, I still had the experience of a lifetime! To @ShuttleCDRkelly, @astro_box, @astroIronMike, and @astro_taz, prayers and Godspeed! #NASATweetup

    • With NASA astronaut Clayton Anderson! Had the amazing opportunity to meet NASA astronaut Clayton Anderson, from Ashland, NE, at the STS-134 space shuttle Endeavour #NASATweetup April 28-29, 2011!

    From Verizon/Yahoo! News:

"The 12 crew members aboard space shuttle Discovery and the International Space Station will hold a news conference starting at 9:48 a.m. CST on Friday, March 4. "

"NASA Television will provide live coverage of the 40-minute news conference"

I hope one of those reporters has the druthers to ask...

    Hello Sniper_Kotaro,

It is an interesting point you mention here. I do however not agree with you.
Originally Richard placed this travel bug in the ISS because he believes in the progress of technology which will, in time, enable future geocachers to visit the ISS. In the further future even Mars or...

The same technology enables us now to find such travel bugs. Why not use it and discover what you've found?

Also I don't think it is unworthy to this very special travel bug to discover it. In the contrary, I just believe it is respectful to do so. Making use of the technology of today.

    Kind regards,
    Gino Talamini

Maybe it's just me, but isn't is a bit pointless to discover it if you haven't ACCTUALLY discovered it? :(
I think it destroys the fun and sense of this TB.

It was Twitter that made me aware of the existence of this travel bug. Quite a bit of digital digging revealed it's number.
    Awesome! :-)
How long before we find one on Mars?
