Our Annual Vacation to the Atlantic Ocean and Beach brings us to Chincoteague Island, VA. The name Chincoteague, given by the early Indians Tribes means “Beautiful land across the water”. It’s known for wild ponies, superb oysters and quiet seaside charms. Thousands of tourist annually watching the famous wild pony swim the Assateague channel over to Chincoteague Island and auction to benefit the local Fire Dept..
