"Patch" Sanduckan, Pirate Duck

Travel the seven seas... As an older pirate duck he'd just wants to travel to ports far and wide, have his picture taken with a fair lady duck now and again and to remember the good ol' pirate duck days.

Once part of the crew aboard the Black Earl, "Patch" Sanduckan is a loyal sailor pirate for Captain Jack Ducker ( TB27E81 ) His sailing days are pretty much behind him now. Notice his hooked wing. Strange as it might seem, a pirate duck is better off on-shore when his wings have been clipped.

He's not saying how it happened but most other ducks tell that "Red" Duckwash ( TB27E6C ) did it. The story goes that Red accused Patch of cheatin' at cards. Yes, Duck Pirates can hold a "feather" of cards so it can't be seen by other ducks. A "feather" of cards is what you and I would call a "hand" of cards - makes sense if you think about it. Anyway, there was a lot of quackin' and flying feathers when Red lost his last chips. No one actually saw it happen and the Duck Pirate Code keeps Patch silent but he did keep the pot of gold bullion when it was all said and done and now lives comfortably in his old age.

Whatever you do, don't ask him about the missing eye. This Duck Pirate is a bit sensitive about it. All the questions and the silly nickname...Geez! Does it never end for an old Duck Pirate?
