Current Goal

Zex the travel bug and hitchiker pal, Beary, want to travel to the south for the winter - preferably knock around a little in Alabama and the south in general .... see the sights and stay out of the snow. Zex and Beary love to go to the zoo and have their pics taken. Eventually they want to return to Ohio but are in no big hurry.

I have no idea how it got to Houston Community College (GCG3335) in Texas, but I found Zex and Beary today. Looks like they have been lost since April?

Although Beary and Zex look like they are in good shape, I''ll feed them both and release them in a cache nearby with a note about where they want to go. I am not heading to a Zoo anytime soon, but maybe their next host will be!

  • Heads Up! How do you get a Giraffe to stand still long enough to place a travel bug on it's head? We spent three hours trying to coax the Giraffe back over so we could retrieve the TB! I can just see it now... Travel bug placed in NEW cache located at varying coordinates within a zoo!

This poor bear spent the brunt of Winter in Michigan. I had to get it to a warmer place. Don't know if I'll make it to Alabama or Florida soon but the bear has the right idea! It was SIX degrees outside when I picked him up.
