We will remember

In the early hours of Boxing Day 2004 one of the largest quakes ever recorded hit the Indian Ocean. The ensuing tsunami hit almost a dozen countries around the Indian Ocean and led to a large-scale human desaster with hundreds of thousands of victims.

Immediately after the initial tsunami, teams from all over the world rushed to the area to help the victims. Among them our basic healthcare unit from the German Red Cross that set up camp at Teunom, Indonesia. Over the next couple of weeks, we received assistance from helicopters out of several countries. One of those helicopters came from Malaysia, so it is fitting for this coin to commemorate this assistance.

gestern waren wir auf dem Way to the ghost, in dem Deine Coin liegen soll. Leider muss ich Dir mitteilen, dass außer dem Logbuch nichts in der Dose zu finden war.

Ich drücke Dir die Daumen und hoffe für Dich, dass die Coin vergessen wurde, von jemandem zu loggen und bald woanders wieder auftaucht.
