Current Goal

Wile E. Collie's Travel Bug wants to visit many places. Please make sure he visits as many caches as possible, even if they are near home (in St. Helen, MI). Please treat him like a "hot potato" and place him back into a cache as soon as you can after picking him up and logging it onto the web site. He doesn't like to stay at home, he wants to be out and about. Distance isn't important.

About This Item

U-AgI Wile E. Collie, FMCh, TT, DSA

Wiley (born June 10, 1991) is a Blue Bi-color Border collie who has had a full life, and now he’d like to encourage dog owners to get more involved with their dogs. In Wiley’s lifetime, he has experienced much fun and adventure. Wiley has been a wonderful companion, who “worships the ground” his mommy walks on. At age 12, Wiley retired from many of the more active sports, but he still enjoys geocaching and letterboxing. But in his “prime” he was a great Flyball dog, earning the title of Flyball Master Champion. He has enjoyed competing in Herding and Agility. He didn’t care to pursue obedience titles, though this is a dog that will choose to walk at heel by mom, even when the other dogs are tearing down the trail. He dabbled in Water Rescue and Frisbee fetching, though mostly served as “warm-up dog” for his sister, Karli’s performance. He served as the tireless wheel dog on my 3-dog sprint racing sled dog team for many years. As a Dog Scout, he has earned over 20 merit badges. Through Dog Scouts, dogs everywhere can enjoy learning to do fun things with their human companions (Please visit www.dogscouts.org). Wiley wants his travel bug to go to many, many places and visit more caches than his sister’s. He finally wants to “out-do” her at something!

It is nice to have a dog around, but I won't hold on to him too long, I know he wants to get back out there.
