Current Goal

Original Goal: To walk or climb as many hills, downs, fells and mountains as possible on his way to Perth, Australia.  Once Benny has been to Perth, we hope that he'll find his way back to us, having ambled over many more hills, downs, fells and mountains.  Photos of the views he'll enjoy will be greatly appreciated!

 

**** Update and New Goals: Benny is now READY TO COME HOME TO HIS OWNERS. We would be most grateful if Benny could be dropped off in the New Forest or near the Hampshire - Dorset borders. Many Thanks! Benny has made it to Perth, Australia, thereby smashing his first goal in record time! Thanks to everyone - Especially Snake Plissken and mickjane - for helping him get there so quickly!  Benny kicked around Perth for a bit to look for the Hill Family and has, being a trekker, walked the Earth for a while and visited spots with lovely views.****

We came across an unactivated travel bug (we added the Benny keyring) while searching for theclarkes's Gridlock - GCTZ23 - somewhere in the Lake District, England.  See our log of 2 September 2011 on that geocache page for the bizarre story associated with Benny the Hill Walker.  He is our tribute to the Hill Family and their strange Time Capsule Geocache.  The Hill family originally wanted the TB to make it to Perth, Australia.  If you know who the Hill Family are, please ask them to send us a message!

Since we found this travel bug in the Hill Family Time Capsule, an unregistered geocache in the Lake District that is about 4ish meters away from Gridlock - GCTZ23 - we will start it off in Gridlock to preserve milage. Thanks to theclarkes for their fantastic cache and hospitality!
