Hallo,
mein Name ist "Affe"! Klingt irgendwie einfallslos, aber mit der Zeit gewöhnt man sich daran. Mein Besitzer war, zumindest was meinen Namen angeht, nicht besonder kreativ. Seit über fünf Jahren war es mein Job in seinem Auto rumzuhängen. Vielleicht braucht man dazu auch keinen großen Affennamen wie "King Kong" oder "Cheeta". Gesehen habe ich bisher auch nicht viel, zumindest nicht außerhalb des Autos. Mein Besitzer ist leider nicht besonders reiselustig. Das Weiteste war einmal eine Tour Ruhrgebiet - Holland, aber nur kurz hinter die Grenze. Jetzt hat er sich vor einiger Zeit ein neues Auto gekauft. Kein in die Jahre gekommener Kleinwagen, wie der, in dem ich ihm Gesellschaft leisten musste - nein, er hat sich was sportliches mit nur zwei Sitzen gegönnt. Ich landete dann in einer Plastiktüte im Keller seiner Mutter. Dabei wäre es in seinem neuen Auto bestimmt noch interessanter geworden, als in dem alten. Ich dachte schon das war es. Erst eine Weile im Keller, dann Müllkippe. Überraschenderweise holt er mich wieder an das Licht, wäscht mich und sagt mir, es geht auf große Reise. Drei Jahre darf ich weg, dann muss ich wieder zu Hause sein. Je mehr ich erlebe und je weiter ich komme, desto größer ist die Wahrscheinlichkeit, dass ich in sein neues Auto darf. Bitte nehmt mich mit, legt ihm Beweisfotos vor und vielleicht gebt ihr mir auch einen richtigen Namen.

my name is "Affe"! That´s the german word for monkey. It´s a boring and uninspired name, but I adapted to it over the years. My owner wasn´t very creative at least about my name. It was my job to hang around in his car for more than five years. Perhaps I don´t need a great name like "King Kong" or "Cheeta" for this kind of work. I hadn´t seen a lot of locations or adventures with him, at least not outside the car. My owner isn´t very fond of travelling. The farthest was a journey from the Ruhr area, my home, to Holland, but only a few miles after the border. Now he bought a new car. Not an old one, which is getting a bit long in the tooth, like his last one - no, his new car is racy and has only two seats. He put me into a plasticbag and took me into his mothers cellar. Although I think that it would be more interisting in the new car. In the cellar I thought: "That was it - first cellar than dump!" Surprisedly he brings me forward, cleans me and says to me, that I will be going on a big journey. I may travel for three years, than I must go home. The more I experience and the more I travel far away the probable it is that I get in his new car. Please, take me with you and make fotos of me. So I can demonstrate that I was really in many different locations and countries. Perhaps you can give me a new, better name than "Affe"!
