The "Pot o' What?" Wee Zoo Spoon would like to travel from cache to cache as quickly as possible. It would like to visit zoos and have its picture taken with all kinds of animals, but especially zoo animals.

About This Item

The "Pot o' What?" Wee Zoo Spoon is a miniature pewter souvenir spoon from the Potawatomi Zoo in South Bend, Indiana that I found in a local cache. Because it has my city and state stamped on it, I figured it was the perfect item for my first travel bug.

    we took a trip to the wuppertal zoo today. see how many animals got to see the spoon?

    also, some people saw us taking pics of the spoon with animals, and asked us why. joerg got to explain all about geocaching to them. they were quite surprised to learn that there are 40K caches in germany alone. lots of little kids gave me weird looks today too, for taking pics of a spoon with the animals.

    well we did not find the time in seattle to go to the zoo. so now this little tb is at home with us in wuppertal, germany. i was worried about doing that, but my husband said "oh don't worry lytha, we have a zoo too!"

    i've never been to the zoo here but now i have a reason.

    i had to take this spoon cuz i can take it quite far on our caching tour of america. it's been in several states already with us - NY, NJ, PA, DE, WV, VA, and now MD.

    we'll take it to seattle next week and try to get it up to the woodland park zoo for a photo. if we miss that opportunity, we'll take it further along the west coast. in any case it will get a nice journey and we are taking very good care of it, making sure it's secured with our belongings and in nice air conditioned rooms/car.

    the spoon is treated well with us, except for one morning when i had food and no silverware in our fancy hotel room in VA. i had to use it to eat. don't worry, i washed it well and it's as good as new now.
