Dropped off TSC in hopes he'll get a joy ride from the Labor Day Caching Crowd. This is a great little city park set aside for kids who enjoy fishing. You can be guaranteed to see turtles, osprey, and ducks.

Retrieve It from a Cache 8/24/2008 billdev retrieved it from Dog Lake West Montana   Visit Log

The last visit of three today before heading out to a popular cache that will provide some new opportunities. My visit here today was peaceful since there were no persons around. I did enjoy the song of two common loons. Stryker Peak is in the background (this is the site of another abandoned lookout with elevation over 7,000 feet).

Visited the great view of Styrker Peak on the Dog Mountain Lookout. Not much left of this abandoned lookout on the Stillwater State Forest. There are two peaceful lakes on either side of this lookout: Dog Lake to the east and Upper Stillwater Lake on the west. This picture was taken on one of four remaining foundation posts - not much left other than wire, bolts and some evidence of lookout life (cans, bed springs, metal and burned log supports.
