Yippee! I'm the leader here at Upper Stillwater Lake Overlook - I'm 1,263 while "I Love Disney" is 1,240!. Am enjoying this view that started on a drive on the Fort Steele Road. The Fort Steele trail and road was used by settlers for development of the Flathead Valley and Tobacco Plains country in northwestern Montana and the Cranbrook-Fort Steele areas of British Columbia.

Just a quick visit to play in the water. Swan Lake, Montana sits below the Swan Mountain Range, separated from Flathead Lake by the Mission Mountain Range. For 93 miles, Swan River connects Lindberg Lake to Flathead Lake.

It flows quickly through the Mission Mountain Range until it settles for a while in Swan Lake. From the lake it flows another 13 miles before reaching Bigfork Dam and emptying into Flathead Lake. Swan Lake and Swan River are visited by boaters, kayakers, fishing enthusiasts, as well as travel bugs just passing through to view the wildlife and serene surroundings. Size: 3269 acres. Here I'm on a Kayak with Mickey on the east shore of Swan Lake.

Just a quick stop before school starts. Kalispell Middle School is a three-year educational facility offering a comprehensive program for students in grades 6, 7 and 8. The Mission of Kalispell Middle School is to produce contributing members of America’s diverse society. They stimulate intellectual curiosity within a school environment where students feel a sense of safety, community and ownership. They promote pride in individual achievement and help students meet their potential by instilling the value of accomplishment based on good behavior, work and effort.

Picture taken at Conrad Cache GC158EW. When Charles E. Conrad, a founder of Kalispell, arrived in the Flathead Valley in 1891, this lovely town with its tree-lined streets was still but a dream. But Conrad had vision, and he felt that not only had he found a good investment opportunity, but also a permanent home for his descendants. Along with establishing the Kalispell Townsite Company and eventually the Conrad National Bank, he had this gracious Victorian home built for his beloved family in 1895 in what was then a wilderness.

Just taking a scenic drive from Butte to Glacier Country. Stopped here at Flathead Lake which is located just south of Kalispell, the largest natural freshwater lake west of the Mississippi is 28 miles long and up to 15 miles wide. That’s 188 square miles of pure enjoyment! There is 160 miles of shoreline and water is 300 feet deep. This picture taken near GC1C6CG Sommers Newest Beach.

Made a "Pit" stop in Butte to enjoy the mining history: Berkeley Pit, Double Rainbow and great sunsets. Next, a trip back to Glacier Country.
