This TB is dedicated to all who designed, manufactured, flew and paid the ultimate sacrifice in defense of our great nation in the magnificent B-17. When this TB is in your hands, thank them for their service. Honor them and their families. If you get a chance to fly on a B-17, let me know. And if you take the TB on a B-17, take lots of pictures and log them here.
Of the original 12,732 B-17s built between 1935 and May 1945, only 15 are still in flying condition. 4,735 B-17s were lost during combat missions. Many B-17 crew members received military honors and 17 received the Medal of Honor, the highest military decoration awarded by the United States...Please visit www.b17.org to learn more about the B-17.............The TB is a right hand patch (reverse) American flag with a pin of the B-17 attached. The TB is attached with a key ring to the flag.
