A Race....In tribute to the Big "3"

CannonBall Lou‘s Cougar on the prowl TB2B15R..help me log in the most miles in 1 calendar year and prove the Buick GSX is America's favorite classic.
General Motors surrendered itself to temptation in 1970 and lifted its 400-cid limit on intermediate models. That unleashed some of the quickest automobiles ever to come out of Detroit and the GSX was among them. Only 678 GSX'S were produced with the standard big block 455 engine or the optional Stage1 engine and in only two colors, Saturn Yellow and Apollo White. All GSXs had the distinctive full body length black stripe that crossed over the rear spoiler and was outlined in red pin stripes. A large area of the hood was also black with a hood mounted tach. Also standard equipment were black bucket seats, floor shifter, wide oval tires, quick ratio steering, anti-sway bars. and instant coolness.
