Current Goal

First goal is Key West Florida but I would love to travel around the UK or anywahere you may take me. After I reach Key West I would like to return to The Sea Wall Joppa Flats Cache soon to be created.

Also in the excitement we neglected to get a photo of me so if someone grabs me please post your photos!

About This Item

A Pirate Turned 50 came about on my 50th Birthday trip to Key West inspired by Jimmy Buffet's A prirate Looks at 50. I made a pilgrimage to Key West and turned 50 on the Southern Most point on the continental United States at the exact time moment I turned 50. The crowd cheered. I brought home gifts to all my special friends I made over the years and this little guy was one I kept for my self. As I prepared to spend my wife's 50th birthday in London, I decided to launch a Travel Bug while there on her birthday. My hope is to watch 'A Pirate Turned 50' travel back to his roots in Key West and then back to me in Massachusetts someday. I hope you enjoyed being part of the journey.

    Wondered into the woods and came out after having found this cache (#114 for me).
    Took the travel bug (not the one shown here so I will wait to log it in - the one I found was "A Pirate Turned 50" I think I am just a bit ahead of the previous cacher.

    I left a TERRIFIC Alaska key ring bottle opener that is in the shape of a fish head - doesn't sound like much, but this is a great item!
