The mission of this TB is to have its picture taken with geocachers and their vehicle (affectionately referred to as Cache Mobiles) and POST THE PICTURES on the TB Log site. Cache mobiles can be jeeps, canoes, cars, trucks, or whatever conveyance you use to "get to" where you begin walking. Send this TB back to the "Jersey Pinelands" AROUND summer of 2007 for our retrieval. In the meantinme.....take it anywhere your heart desires except NJ.
Our homestate is NJ. In the southern portion of the state are over a million acres of pristine wilderness referred to as New Jersey Pinelands. There are hundreds and hundreds of caches around the pinelands. Many accessable by driving down sandy roads until you are within walking distance. From there, it could be deer trails, narrow bike paths, or simply "bushwacking". But few if any are within "walking" distance from our homes, as this area is so very large. Therefore, on any day, there could be hundreds of different "Cache Mobiles" in the pinelands of South Jersey. Four wheel drive is absolutely necessary in some cases. Its recommended in many cases. Jeeps seem to be very common in South Jersey. Because South Jersey is low and flat, many areas in the pinelands flood with just a heavy rain storm. The narrow sandy roads may fill with water and make some of the roads seem in-passable. But a stout Cache Mobile can usually get through anything. Sometimes I'm amazed at the different types of vehicles used by geocachers. Maybe yours is a horse, a Jeep, or a snowmobile? Or possibly skis. Whatever it is, please post a picture of you and your Cache mobile with our Cache mobile TB on the Travel Bug site.
