Footloose has been with the family to the Bay of Islands, been sea kayaking around Able Tasman National Park, stayed the night at Mt Arthur Hut in the snow, rock climbing at Paynes Ford, and has been to the top of Mt Taranaki twice.

visited quite a few cache sites, but all were either too small to drop off or too far out of the way
