Current Goal

This travel bug is on a mission...To visit the REAL Oktoberfest in Munich,Germany, The Hofbrau Haus, and to see the Rathaus Glockenspiel in action and then come back home to Houston, Texas. Take a picture with your "Big Beer" and the bug in a beer tent with your friends, The Hofbrau House is so much fun: this bug would love to see the band or the pretzel hut inside, don't forget a picture with the bug with someone in Lederhosen and lastly the music and action of the Glockenspiel is something to behold. Have fun! Make sure to learn the proper way to toast your beer - ask a local they would love to show you. PROST!!!

This bug is not shy and would love to have his picture taken in places along the journey in his quest for beer. Thank you for taking him with you...

About This Item

This is our first travel bug, and realize that we may not see him for a very long time. He is going to be wearing a "Go Rice Owls" navy blue bracelet, so he can support his school on the journey. Take care of Augustus (the bug).

    I retrieved the tag for this TB from my disabled cache, Newcastle Pioneers. That's all there was, the tag. Since there is no close-up photo posted of the TB, I'm not sure what was attached to the tag, but nothing in the remnants of my cache looked like it would be part of this TB, from what I could tell in the posted pics from others. So, I have a tag - I would be glad to mail it back to you if you send me your address. Or I can send the tag by itself along its way, but that doesn't seem to fit the mission. Let me know what you'd like me to do.
