Current Goal

The Mission of this special coin, launched May 2009, is to travel to as many caches as possible along the Appalachian Trail while Charlie is serving his country overseas. The Griffin Special Operations team will retrieve this from the trail at some point in the future. Please take pictures if possible so Charlie can track the journey from overseas. Thank you!!

About This Item

A Salute to Charlie

This coin was launched as a special tribute to PFC Charlie Griffin upon his graduation from Fort Benning, near Columbus, Georgia. We (the Griffin Family Special Operations) are looking forward to tracking this coin as our son/brother serves our country. Thank you for helping us move this coin along the trail!!

2012 Update on Sargeant Charlie --  Charlie spent a year in Iraq and will soon deploy for Afghanistan. Thank you for continuing to move the coin in his honor!
