Tomorrow we head home via Denver and San Francisco. We leave on the 6th Jan USA time and arrive in Australia on the morning of the 8th January. We are looking forward to getting home and back to the warmth. A white Christmas holiday has been fun and we loved our time frolicking in the fresh snow at Mt Spokane. Yesterday was a hilight when Paul, Bruce and I went caching about 60km out of Spokane to tackle a power trail. It was so unique and surreal. At first i was scared we would slip over on the sloping banks but the fresh snow was crunchy and stable. Issues we encountered were frozen lids on the caches and if the contents were wet, frozen log sheets as well. At times we had to dig the containers our of the snow. Yes it meant cold hands but we were well dressed so not too bad because of the absence of wind. We loved the partly frozen lakes and the snowy scenery, even the cloudy gloom that hung over us added to the atmosphere. We knew it was a once in a limetime situation so we cached as long as we could but daylight hours are short and by 4.30 it was time to head back to Elaine and the warmth of the house.

Happy 2026, we wish you well for a wonderful year.
