This bug is a companion piece (of sorts) to Firth of Forth's "Celebrations" TB. (TBKN87)
When we visited the Irish/British Cachers' meet in Dublin in September 2005, FoF treated me to a birthday dinner at L'Ecrivain, Derry Clarke's show-piece for the "new Irish cuisine". It was a stunning meal; brilliantly cooked and amazingly well presented. And with it we drank a bottle of truly superb claret (astonishingly at a sensible price - perhaps they do these things better in Euros).
"Birthday teas don't get better than this" as someone should have said. And "Good Scran!" wants to hear your stories about a good blow-out, before moving on to the next free meal!

This bug is the cork from a bottle of 1998 Chateau Cloitre Lescours, a Grand Cru St Emillion from a stunning year. Claret to die for! Thanks FoF (Quelle Dame!)
