**Update - December 25, 2006**
It appears that China Girl has gone missing. This is especially disheartening as we continue to deal with the ever increasing wait for our referral for Ava. We started the process expecting to be in China by Summer 2006 and we're now hoping and praying it will happen by Fall 2007.
Hopefully someone will recognize China Girl as a travel bug and will send her back on her way home soon.

PoqFFEMT and Mrs. love to travel, but we hear that a young 'un will curtail that activity somewhat - at least for the first couple of years. China Girl's mission is to travel extensively, spreading the word about adoption far and wide, but we're really hoping she can make it to China and back before we leave to go get our real 'China girl' and bring her home.
**Update - July 2006**
China Girl has made it to China and is now back in the US (Thanks Cache Sushi for sharing your adoption adventure with us!) so she'd now like to come home for a visit before heading out on her next mission. Please help get her back home to the Hampton Roads, VA area. If we can get her back to a Poquoson cache then that would make it extra special for us!!

Mr. PoqFFEMT and I have planned on adopting a little girl from China since we were married ten+ years ago. We finally decided the stars were aligned and the time was right in June 2005. We signed up with an agency (Bethany Christian Services) and began the paperchase in July. After five long months and a few minor delays, we finally submitted our completed dossier to China on 17 November 2005 and we're settling in for the unbearably long wait, currently 16 - 18 months or so, until the referral of our daughter, Ava Lisette.
While we're waiting, we'd like to spread the word about adoption and the number of children, international and domestic, who are waiting for their forever families. We're hoping this travel bug just might cause someone to stop and think of those children and maybe even consider providing a home to a child who desperately needs one.
Please visit our blog at http://www.avalisette.net/ for updates.
