About This Item

Bob The Boxed Burby

Bob the Boxed Burby
Leesburg, Virginia
Hi my name is Bob the Boxed Burby, or “BB” for short. My owners The “B” Team have had me in a box for years, and frankly I’m tired of it. I have moved twice and have logged over 500 miles but never left the box in which I lived in.

Realizing the great injustice they have done to me, The “B” Team is letting me go out on my own to see what this country is all about, “The People.” My goal is simple to make it to Washington State and visit family in Walla Walla. Rumor has it they have some of the best onions in the country, and I love onions. The “B” Team also plans to get back out there this summer, and I would like to hook up with them to share my time outside the box.

But face it I’m free loading so anywhere you go is good with me. If you could log in, it will make it so much easier to recount my trip when I finally re unite with The “B” Team.

I found Bob today, We will try to get him farther West as soon as possible. He mentioned something about Mardi Gras in New Orleans but if we get the chance to bring him West he says he would like that better. He also says hello to all that helped him so far!

Bob has finally been released from the STRACKPAK. He has really grown in the months that we have had him. The kids were so upset when we told them Bob was continuing his trek West. Sorry he didn't get to meet up with his owners this summer, but he has had a great time! He had an exciting Labor Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's (he drank way too much eggnog, but slept it off with no hangover!). He also celebrated all six of our birthdays with yesterday being the last! Hope Bob has as much fun with others as he had with us. Goodbye Bob!

We are visiting relatives here in North Carolina. We plan on taking Bob with us back to Arkansas, so that should bring it about 600 miles closer to it's final destination in the Pacific North West. Our four kids will hate parting with Bob, but it is time for him to head West

Little Car and The Car were out doing some walking to get better in health. When we heard the same noise from a area of the woods just off the walkway. Finding the area we looked down and found this travel bug. As Little Car loves animals it was hard not to bring it home for a visit. We are planning a trip West in this state we decided to help our friend along. It should being showing up soon west of Ashville.

Recently, While visiting family in Lynchburg, Va., I had the opportunity to walk down Main St. in this beautiful antebellum town. After visiting the antique stores, I drifted into the Farmer's Market on the other side of the street where I walked up and down the aisles looking at all the vegetables and the wares. While smelling the cantaloupes, I heard a small, pinched voice crying and talking and I wondered where it was coming from. It didn't take long to discover where this noise was emanating from. It was a small furry animal about as large as your two fists clamped together and it was up behind the tomatoes and brussell sprouts and peeking over a large egg plant. There was also a cord tied around one of its legs and made fast around a bunch of carrots.
When I inquired about this small thing to the owner of the stand, she remarked that it was a runaway that had approached them several weeks ago and they were hoping that they could get a home for it. She further stated that she and her husband had expended considerable monies on this pet and if she could just get her cost out of the deal, she would let it go.
After much haggling, we settled on a price and this little furry thing became my responsibility. This little furry had quite a different tale to tell but I will not be able to tell it all here as I promised to help it on its way to the far west. Kidnapping, Murder, Intrigue, Incest, Oh, the things this little furry told me. TOP CAT
