Explored the R Bell mine with Brett. Kinda creepy, but very impressive. Small stalactites are forming, and some rimstone dams have started on the floor. Veins and "cave bacon" also appear on the walls. Didn't see anything alive except a rat so large I momentarily thought it was a chinchilla.

Beautiful spot on the west side of Harrison Lake. I was camping at 20 Mile Bay with my father and uncle Brian while working a contract with Forestry to clean 20 kms of ditches and culverts. It took 4 and a half days, and it rained for the first 4 and then was cold and snowed a little bit on the last half. Then on the way out we stopped at Hale Creek to do some fossil hunting (for ammonites naturally!). Unfortunately I dropped a small boulder on my forearm which left a small but deep gash, requiring 2 stitches and a tetanus shot. At least I got some great fossils though.

The cache at Myrtle Point was fun. You could only get to it during low tide, and the location was fantastic. Had to walk over the tidal flats (covered in oysters and gooey-ducks) to get there, and there was a lot to see.
