Current Goal

Edgar's mission is to fly on as many flights as possible, to anywhere. Please only take him if you are intending to fly somewhere in the near future. Please log the departure and arrival airport and the airline when placing him in a cache after a flight.

Please only take Edgar if you are going to fly and can place him in a cache after the flight - Thank you. It is not mandatory to fly with Edgar, if you are just moving him on to another cache, then that is fine

About This Item

Edgar ready for the off!

Edgar the Elf used to work for Santa. In 2005 he was asked to help with Santa's rounds on Christmas Eve. Since then, Edgar has discovered just how much he likes flying and would love to fly, where ever possible.

Latest News:
Edgar has had his very first flight thanks to TravellingStan!

Edgar thought that the Rock Apes were cool and has added them to his Christmas list. They reminded him of his friend Otto the travel bug.

Trouble with the GPS, could not find the cache! So I have brought Edgar back to the UK. Here are some pictures of his trip.
He Flew on Monarch flight ZB062 London Luton to Gibraltar on 2/10/06.
And returned on Monarch flight ZB063 Gibraltar to London Luton on 6/10/06.
Sorry I could not leave him in Gibraltar but as you can see from the pictures he had an exciting time!
I will put him in a UK cache ASAP.

Sadly we are traveling back by ferry - but I am sure we can try and help this little elf get airborne again!

Finally, we managed to get Edgar airborne. Travelling Stan (and his Owner / Keeper / Personal Assistant / General dogs-body) went to see relatives on the Isle of Man. Edgar finally "slipped the surley bonds of earth" on Eastern Airways flight T3 4386 from Birmingham (BHX) to the Isle of Man (IOM). Aircraft was a BAe Jetstream 41, and there were only 10 people on board (including the pilots, flight attendant, Travelling Stan and Edgar)!

We were able to find a cache near the Isle of Man for Edgar, so he should be able to get another flight soon!

Happy landings Edgar, I enjoyed flying with you! TS.

Unfortunately we have not been able to go flying with my uncle. However, Edgar did make it to Farnborough Airshow (apologies for poor photo quality) - perhaps he will get to fly on one of these in the not too distant future.

Edgar will be flying very soon - We'll find a nice cahce for him sometime this weekend!
