Current Goal

Puzzle Bug's primary mission is to get people to share about their all time favorite Puzzle Caches. You don't necessarily have to place Puzzle Bug in a Puzzle Cache, because that might seriously impair its chances of being found and moved around often. Also, Puzzle Caches often seem to be micros, and it just wouldn't fit...

So feel free to move Puzzle Bug anywhere you want, but please share the NAME and WAYPOINT of one of your favorite Puzzle Caches when you post your log. For bonus points, you can share a bit about your experience solving the puzzle (without giving away any spoilers, of course). What made it your favorite? Was it a cleverly constructed puzzle that frustrated you for weeks? Was it something about the final location? Did it just make you feel really smart when you finally figured it out? Do tell.

About This Item

Puzzle Bug

Thanks! I look forward to reading your logs and virtually exploring Puzzle Caches from around the world! Good puzzle caches can be fun and entertaining even if I never travel there to make the find... Maybe I'll even spot an idea I want to copy!

I have also created a bookmark list called Puzzle Bug's Favorite Puzzles where I'll compile all the favorite puzzles mentioned by people here. If you want to share about two or even three favorites, that's fine, but to keep the bookmark list manageable let's just aim for the cream of the crop. (Yeah, yeah, I started us off with five, but I call owner's prerogative.)

We'll send this to another Puzzle Cache.
Our favorite puzzle cache is At the Tobes of Hades. Not just because of the fun puzzle, but the cache itself was unique, and we were FTF ! 😁 😁

This is a cool bug. We left it in the cache for the next finder. Our favorite puzzle is The Sphere by Lamneth. It is very elegantly constructed.

I feel lucky that there are some fantastic puzzle cache makers around this area, and there are so many that I've REALLY enjoyed. Here are a few favorites:

Venonium 263 (GCT3RN) was really fun from start to finish, and utilized some nifty techniques that I haven't seen much in other caches. I did it on the night it launched, with 20-30 other people.

Counterparts (GCGQ42) and Double Agent (GCA8B3), both by Lamneth, are exquisitely clever caches with a fun theme and storyline. Highly recommended.

All Wet (GCPTR6) had a really tricky interweaving of a few different logic puzzles. It really challenged me, and finally getting it was a good feeling.

And lastly, Maya Silver: Tears Of The Moon (GCPKJW) was not much of a puzzle per se, but I really enjoyed it! It was merely the final cache in a series spread along a trail, and you needed to collect some info at each of the previous stages in order to get coordinates for the final stage. It was a beautiful hike, and the storyline associated with the caches was a lot of fun, so it gets a mention here.

I hope to hear about your favorite puzzle caches too! Thanks.
