About This Item

Just north and bordering on the city of Winnipeg, Manitoba, the Interlake lies between Lake Winnipeg (the world's 10th largest fresh water lake) and Lake Manitoba with Manitou Island, where Aboriginal lore gives meaning to the origins of the name Manitoba.

"Replicoins" seem to be the new thing, rather than releasing the actual coin, so it's always a treat to find an actual geocoin in a cache! This one is in great shape and the boys and I enjoyed checking it out... we're headed further south in a few days and will be bringing it with us. I'm hoping to drop it in Florida's oldest cache as that's one of my goals for this trip!

Thanks for releasing such a lovely coin... maybe once it gets down to the bottom of Florida it can start bouncing back up toward Canada!

dropped off in Wade Ward Park, Gulf Shores Alabama. this was the closest I could get to the beach and as far away from Canada that I could get. Placed while training for RAGBRAI the best bike ride in the world other than the Tour. Go TEAM BUD.
