Although the Steelers have the weekend off, The Denali National Park Geocoin was hard at work. It traveled to the Steel City today and enjoyed a rather cold walk along the Alleghany and Monongahela Rivers. The confluence was in full splendor. After enjoying the hospitality of some Elves in Pittsburgh, I’m sure it will soon be off to other cities around the US. Good Luck in your travels; we’re glad we could be part of the fun!

  • Caching Riverside Geocaching is the next best reason to a game for a beautiful walk down by the stadiums; even if there's a chill in the air. This cache is in a park near the baseball field.
  • Enjoying the local history.
  • An evening caching in the city.

Happy New Year! This was our first Geocoin! We found it in Bird's Eye View at the Roger Tory Peterson Institute in Jamestown, NY. This was an especially exciting find since my father was with us and has traveled to Denali recently. We will place it in another cache further south very soon! Thanks!

  • Caching in the snow is always a challenge! Finding the Denali Coin on New Year's Day!
  • A great place for caching in any season! The Institute is worth a visit if, like the Denali coin, you are passing through Jamestown NY.
  • Geocaching isn't just for the birds! Rodger Tory Peterson and Geocaching; a super combination.
