    Even after having owned a GPS for almost 3 weeks and having found a dozen or so caches, I was still using the numeric screens and doing seat-of-the-pants approximations in my tracking.
    Worked for me quite well but it often led to some interesting approaches until a friend showed me how to do it easier.

    (I read instruction manuals religiously in my work. Why didn't I do so in my play?)

    Looking back six years later, the amount of gas I burned chasing smiles in my early passion was incredible. This day I went from Hilton Head to Savannah to Hunting Island and back to Hilton Head!
