"Tommy Turtle"

Tommy Turtle is the replacement TB for "Whisk Me Away" who has been lost for almost two years.  Tommy Turtle was born in the Mojave Desert of Southern California but somehow ended up in Utah where it is too cold!  Tommy Turtle would like to return to Southern California and travel from one desert cache to another.

Well after Long Rider, Cold1 and I did the ET Highway this Route 66 power road has been on our radar. Finally took the President's Day Weekend to get us down here. Yesterday we picked up a few on the way down from Utah and some of the "warm up" caches before this one. Today we started before light and ended after dark. It was a great day of 60 degree plus weather and it was snowing in Utah! Can't ask for much better timing than that! Finished the trail up on Sunday with another 60 plus degree day, but windy. It was great fun and we appreciate all the work putting this trail together for us to come and visit. Brought along my Tommy Turtle Travel Bug but as you can see from the picture it was a little to big to fit in the film canister. But we found another place to drop him later.

Starting out Tommy Turtle's new adventures here at Cosmo's Travel Bug "Exchange" on the Brigham Young University Campus in Provo Utah. Before Tommy Turtle slipped his head back into it's shell because of the cold here in Utah, I managed to take a picture of him outside the tree that hides Cosmo's cache. 🙂
