OBtsm, in Listen OB).Oberbootsmann bezeichnet in Deutschland einen Soldaten im vierthöchsten Feldwebeldienstgrad bei der Bundeswehr innerhalb der Deutschen Marine. Er ist Laufbahnziel der Soldaten auf Zeit mit Portepee der Marine, wenn sie nicht zum Berufssoldaten übernommen werden. In den anderen Teilstreitkräften heißt dieser Dienstgrad Oberfeldwebel, in der ehemaligen Volksmarine der "DDR" hieß er Obermeister. What you are holding in your hands, are rank badges of an Oberbootsmann (abbr.:OBtsm). Oberbootsmann is the German term for a soldier in the fourth-highest sergeant's rank of the armed forces within the German navy. It is the most common rank of a regular navy soldiers with Portepee if not taken over as a professional soldier. In the German army this rank is called "Oberfeldwebel" (staff sergeant). In the former national navy of the "GDR" it was called "Obermeister". Within the NATO this rank is referred to as OR 7 (other rank).
