I'm probably the only American to have Goanna's "Spirit of Place" album. I had the LP when it came out in the 80's, I was 14 then, and was living in a tiny town in the hills of western Massachusetts. The LP that eventually died and was replaced with the CD, now with mp3's.
Fast forward to almost 20 years later I finally got to Australia, I actually went twice. Each time I stayed for the "allowed" 6 months. Having to stand in line to leave the 2nd time, knowing that I wasn't ever going to come back again was hard.
It's been 11 years since I was there. I still remember having a Toohey's Old with friends at Panania RSL, seeing the Angels sing "Am I Ever Gonna See Your Face Again" at Revesby Workers Club, and the smell of the earth and the Spirit of Place that is Australia.

Actually found this in Jarrahdale 4x4 Tracks 08 - Obviously it grew wings and Buzzed off to the next one down the line 🙂
It was a lovely afternoon for a find and a return to geocaching after quite a while off. Went with my Geomum and the Geo dogs Bobble and Zotti. Nice and quiet with no danger of muggles, even stopped a Kangaroo jumping around. This Travelbug will give me an excuse to keep caching!
