Current Goal

The mission for this travel bug is to acquire data from those who find it as it travels from cache to cache. When the bug has reached it's storage capacity I would like to have the bug returned to me so I can assimilate the data and publish it on the web for all participants to view and enjoy. I will create a web page for this purpose.

Who ever fills up the data bug, please email me with your mailing address and I will ship you a self addressed, postage paid box to return the data bug to me.

About This Item

data traveller

This data bug is a 512 MB flash memory stick. Each geocacher who finds the bug is requested to upload data to the bug before sending it on it's way. Data can be of any type. Just please keep it clean. Some ideas for the type of data to upload include non-copyrighted pictures, video, audio or text files.

Have a great geocaching snapshot of yourself? Upload it to the memory stick. Have a funny video of your geocaching adventures or something else you would like to share? Upload it to the memory stick. Want to write a story about your geocaching adventures or include some funny jokes? Upload it to the memory stick. You get the idea?

To help me keep things organized I ask each finder to please create a new folder with these three data fields as the folders name: state where found, date found (numerals only 6 digit format) and your geocaching handle. If you would like any help with this please feel free to send me a message.

Feel free to review the data on the memory stick but please do not edit or remove anything that has been added previous to your find. Please do not let your upload exceed 50MB. The memory stick contains 512MB of storage. I believe this will be a fun travel bug to be a part of and when the bug returns to me I will make available the web address where you may go to see all of the data collected on it's journey so don't forget to add this travel bug to your watch list.

Thanks, and let the good times roll.

Discovered at the AbNormal Breakfast Event #2 in Bloomington, IL. What a cool idea for a TB. Wish we could have retierved it instead of discovered. Will watch for this one though in the future and will keep on the watchlist. Would love to see the website when done.
