About This Item

We are in to Life!

We are delighted to launch this coin on its journey with a new caching friend, Write Shop Robert! Be safe out there Robert!

We live in Boise and we wanted to make a coin that would symbolized a few of the things we love about Idaho. The colors on the front of the coin are to represent "The Gem State" and the threads of gold or silver are for the mining in nearby Idaho City and Silver City. The mountains, lakes and streams, the snow topped mountains and nearby ski slopes, and the browns of the desert are just a small part of the variety in this state. Idaho wild life is not limited to the deer on the coin, however, they are one of our favorites to see in the mountains and sometimes right here in downtown Boise. The footprints are on many of the Idaho geocoins minted by local cachers. The back of the coin has the Syringa, a dainty blooming shrub native to Idaho and the state flower. The paw prints are for our best caching companion, Focus, the geo-pup that accompanies us on our adventures. Enjoy!

Found this in Sleepy Hollow cache in a nice wooded park in northern Edmonds WA. I'm originally from Idaho (Idaho Falls area) but have lived in Washington state for the past 20+ years. I'm actually headed back to Idaho for a wedding in about 6 weeks. If N2Life wants me to move it back that direction, I'm happy to oblige, but will otherwise planning on moving this one along somewhere around these parts. I'll hold on to it for at least a week to give you time to answer.
