ENTSOC BUG1 began his travels near Fort Lauderdale, the site of the 2002 meeting of the Entomological Society of America and would like to travel to the vicinity of future ESA meetings and be there about the time of the meeting. Reno Nov. 2011, Knoxville, Nov.2012, Austin, 2013 Portland OR, Nov. 2014. His original goals included getting to Brisbane Australia for the International Congress of Entomology in August 2004 and he arrived in Oz in Febuary 2004. He then traveled from Melbourne to Brisbane and at the time of the congress he was in a cache very close to the convention center where the entomologists met. He's now back in the USA and ready to travel to a future ESA meeting.
EntSoc Bug One is a real cockroach encased in a plastic key ring fob. He was purchased at the Entomological Society meeting in Fort Lauderdale,November 2002. He had a twin ENTSOC BUG 2, whose travels began a few days later but he went missing several years ago. EntSoc Bug one is the first travel bug I released and he's one of the most successful. Please keep him moving and logged correctly.
