This coin will travel with me as I go on "My Geek Odyssey" during the summer of 2009. After the "official" adventure it will continue to travel from event to event.
In 2009 I was awarded a Teacher Creativity Fellowship from the Lilly Endowment to travel to England and learn about the Mini Cooper. As a part of this I also created a webcomic (www.mygeekodyssey.com) and examined other geeky things that I like. This coin holds the pathtag that I made for the fellowship and the webcomic. The comic can be found at (visit link) photos of the journey can be seen at (visit link)

Grew up in the area and in all those years never made it out here. What a beautiful day and what a nice cache. I will say this one was spotted by my wife and found by my brother who was the only one who felt it was OK to climb into the flower bed.
Went caching with my brother, Mike, and decided this was a must do after seeing the Golden Age of Comic Books Exhibit at the Skirball Center. After a little unnecessary bushwhacking we made it to the cave & the cache. What a cool place.
An appropriate cache for me... I especially enjoyed the hint. I do wish I had made it to the Comic-Con event... but you know it was also nice to be there without a gazillion people.
While in the area I needed to get this cache... It was at NECC in San Diego that I first learned about geocaching from Sonny. Interesting cache, coming from the north the road is private and can be gated (it wasn't), the GZ is behind a fence with a "Danger No Trespassing" sign on it. There was an opening in the fence I climbed through to get there.
The closest cache to Comic-Con International... had to wait until the Jedi, vampires, muggles, wizards, steampunkers, and superheroes left.
