Current Goal

I would like this little chain of spirals to travel around the country with people along the way adding to it as it goes. To help with this I am sending several pieces of stainless steel wire and a small pair of needle nose pliers along so that all people need to do is find an appropriate bead. Eventually I would like it to go to Bonner Springs Kansas where I hope the owner of the TB that inspired it will add to the chain before it works its way back home to Maine.

Spiral the Copycat

While visiting my Mom in Kansas City I picked up a cool little Travel Bug called Spiraling into the Location. I thought it was an awsome bug and e-mailed the owner asking if I could add a spiral to it. She agreed and mentioned that she thought a bug traveling around collecting pieces as it goes would be a great idea. Since I had the same idea while moving it I decided to make "Spiral the Copycat". My Spirals are not as nice as the original but some people have talent and I don't. So Tellulah, thanks for the inspiration.

7 months to go 4 miles -- we're terribly sorry!!! But at least it's out in circulation again, and it picked up a spiral made of several types of electrical wire braided, plus a bonus double-spiral of wire in the bag. Will add photo when TMBMom figures out how to download it from her new phone. :-)

  • its current state We added the wire spiral in the lower right, giving it this appearance as of November 2008. Sorry for the poor photography, all we had was a camera phone and the grass for a backdrop!
