This is a replica of the famous twenty dollar gold piece designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907 at the request of Teddy Roosevelt and known as the "Double Eagle". It is considered to be the most beautiful coin ever minted by the United States. It was in circulation until 1933. Please move it along to another cache.
