Current Goal

To travel from our home town of Lebanon, OH to my son, who is in the Navy and stationed at Kitsap Naval base in Bangor, WA.

About This Item

Adam aboard the Ohio

My son, Adam Peters, is the Fire Control Tech (that means he gets to push THE button that makes things go boom) assigned to the SSGN Ohio and based in Bangor, WA.

We miss him very much and would like to have this travel bug out to him from his hometown of Lebanon, OH.

Adam is a geocacher and goes by OHIOAdam. When it gets in his general vicinity, I will have him pick it up and read the online logs.

Please write a note of encouragement to Adam and the guys aboard the Ohio who proudly serve in the US NAVY when you log this trackable at Geocaching.com

We are new to geocaching and were stunned to find this travel bug in little ole Dubuque, Iowa. We are going to be near Interstate 80 this weekend. We plan to find a travel bug hotel somewhere along the route and safely place the bug for a more westward travel.

We've got our fingers crossed that the bug will arrive quickly at its destination in the state of Washington. Best of luck!

iowaPete and family.

Lebanon Travelers retrieved I Love My Sailor TB and will help it on its way to Bangor, WA. I was on the USS Von Stueben (SSBN-632 Blue Crew) in the late '70s home ported in Charleston, SC and operated out of Holy Loch Scotland. I know what Adam and his shipmates do and what they put up with. Hang in there, Adam. Your training and experience will stay with you the rest of your life - I know mine has.
