Current Goal

Second in a series ("Smaller Abe - ALP 2011" was the first). Placed in Lincoln's Bicentennial year (2009), the mission is to visit as many sites related to Abraham Lincoln or the American Civil War as possible, then return to Greeneville, TN, by the first of April, 2011, in time for the Association of Lincoln Presenters National Convention (which will be held 2011 in Greeneville, the home of Lincoln's second Vice President and successor, Andrew Johnson, see ALP2011.thelincolnproject.com).  Please share something in your log on geocaching.com about the sites you found/left the Smaller Abe - ALP 2011 travel bug and, if you like, about your own appreciation of Lincoln or a Civil War connection.

Out caching with the family off of HWY 108. Grabbed from Grand Pa Benny's Cashe. Will find a local cache to put it in to send it on its way again. I know it didn't make it's mark, but hopefully it will get there.

The only Lincoln related site I know of in my general vicinity is a hospital on Mare Island near Vallejo that was dedicated by Lincoln. But, I'm not going to be there anytime soon, so I'll see if I can just move this TB along to someone that can meet it's goal better.
