Placed in Lincoln's Bicentennial year (2009), the mission is to visit as many sites related to Abraham Lincoln or the American Civil War as possible, then return to Greeneville, TN, by the first of April, 2011, in time for the Association of Lincoln Presenters National Convention (which will be held 2011 in Greeneville, the home of Lincoln's second Vice President and successor, Andrew Johnson, see ALP2011.thelincolnproject.com).
