The dog pictured is Sam. He was born in May '99 and we adopted him in December '01. We lost him to lymphoma in November '09. Sam loved walks, car rides, racing around the back yard, ear rubs and naps. He tolerated cats, but disliked fireworks, cameras, thunderstorms and small yappy dogs. He was a sweet, gentle goof and is missed very, very much.

Love the theme of this TB, we adopted a "Mutt" from the SPCA and he has been a great dog & companion. We always feel so sorry for the greyhounds, they are used, often neglected, then cast off. The ones we have met are always the sweetset disposition dogs, too bad that the seedy side of society uses them as they do. We'll move this along.

Now THAT'S interesting.... Back in November 2009, Marmot picked up this travel bug and hauled it to the top of Mount Monadnock. Today we meet again, as Marmot is trying to set a day for this year's Monadnock trip. If things work out, the travel bug might be right back on Monadnock again in a week or two.
