Although Joe Jost has no particular plans, he's always liked the idea of traveling along the Mother Road, Route 66, and would like to be back in Long Beach every once in a while for a schooner of Pabst, a Joe's special (sandwich), pickled egg and some preztels with spicy peppers.
Named after a beer bar in Long Beach (now the oldest), Joe Jost likes road trips, beer bar refreshment and some sports, both as a spectator and as a participant. He'd like to visit areas that have both, like the Bucksnort Saloon in Colorado or the Mountain bar in Yosemite. His emancipator, the FunHog, spends 40 or so weekends every year to camp, climb (yes, with ropes), mountain bike, ski and hike. It's possible to see photos of Joe on a wall in Zion or Yosemite in the future. The FunHog's pictures adorn the walls in the establishment, one skiing below the Matterhorn, and another digging for an igloo atop the Palm Springs tram.
