of cause I brought the Bug to an other castle. When I went to this cache, I havent known that there is a castle, but I had a conversation with a bee-keeper in the woods, who told me about the castle where I parked my car. I was happy that I had the bug in my backpack, so I dropped it here. Returning to my car I noticed the castle and I was also happy to get some informations:
It is Burg Hernstein (Herrnstein castle)
it was founded in the 14th century by the knight van Steyne. After his death his sister married the earl of Nesselrode-Reichenstein and so the castle went into their ownership. The earls of Nesselrode still earns this castle until today. The owner of the castle today, who runs a forest company still has the name Nesselrode.
It is believed that this castle once was build for protection of a ironhammer which was still in use up to the 19th century,

I would never noticed this castle without this travelbug, so I have thank you to be my companion for a few days.

here is the link to a homepage about the castle

We took Déesse to the wolkenburg wich was formerly a castle it was built from 1100 until 1131 by the bishop of cologne Erzbischof Friedrich I. von Schwarzenberg and was left in 16th century. In the 18th century the castle was used as a quarry and just some stones were left here. Its a place with a good view over the rhine valley. We forgot our camera at home sorry!!!
