Visiting our family home in the German community of Amana Iowa. Our family emigrated from Meissenheim Germany and lived in the Ronneburg Castle. They came to America with the religious group that formed the longest and most successful communal society in the U S. Today Amana is a national. Historic site and still retains its German heritage.
